Becoming a Retired Crash Out Queen: Being in Control (Part 2)

Becoming a Retired Crash Out Queen: Being in Control (Part 2)

Happy Self-Care Tuesday, Glam Babes! 💖

Not last year, but TWO years ago (I know, I know, don't come for me! 😂), I wrote a blog post about letting go of things we can't control. I promised to follow up with a list of things we can control, but I guess I’m still learning along the way. So, here it is, finally—better late than never, right? 😉

Things You Can Control:

  • Your own thoughts
  • Your words
  • Your actions
  • How honest you are
  • Your daily habits
  • How you spend your time
  • Your personal boundaries
  • How you respond to situations
  • The choices you make in life
  • Who you spend time with

I could go deeper into all of these next week, but today, I really want to talk about one thing: being in control of how you respond to situations.

Because, listen, chileeee, I’m still working on this one! And when I say it’s one of my biggest challenges, I mean it. It feels like I’m constantly fighting with myself to stay calm, reminding myself, "Don't overreact, don't overreact." It’s like my mantra at this point. 😅

Now, you know me—I gotta blame it on my Gemini nature. (Yes, I went there! 😂) I have this inner urge to take it there, you know what I mean? This generation might call it "crashing out," and baby, I’ve been there! Sometimes, it's easier to just lose it and let all that fire out. Me and anger? We go together REAL BAD 🤞🏾… but I gotta let her go. ✌🏾✨

So, here I am, becoming a "Retired Crash Out Queen." 😂 Sometimes I just want to let go, be mad, and feel it all. But deep down, I know… I gotta let go and let God. It’s a process, and we’re all on this journey together.

But if you came here today hoping for some magical advice on how I overcame this struggle, I gotta be real with you—I haven’t. I’m still fighting this battle every day, just like you. I just wanted you to know, TWIN, you are NOT alone in this! 🤞🏾🤣😭😭😭

Remember, Glam Babes:

Growth isn't about perfection; it's about progress. 🌱 Every time we choose to respond with calm instead of chaos, we're taking a step closer to becoming the best version of ourselves. And guess what? It's okay if it doesn’t happen overnight. We’re in this together, learning, growing, and glowing. 💖✨

So, let's keep reminding ourselves: we have the power to choose peace, to set boundaries, and to embrace each day with grace and gratitude. And when we slip up (because we’re human, after all), we’ll forgive ourselves and try again. After all, becoming a 'Retired Crash Out Queen' is a journey, not a destination! 😂👑

Keep shining, keep growing, and keep choosing YOU. Let’s turn our challenges into chances to rise. 🌟
