Let's Reset

Let's Reset

Last week we talked about some of the things that are considered self-care. But let’s not get carried away, not every day or every week is a good relaxing day/week. Sometimes we need a reset. Usually, people use that reset day on Sundays when they are cleaning and getting ready for the new week.

How do I know if I need a reset day?

Usually, you know you need a reset day when everything is starting to get out of hand.   are cranky, feeling overwhelmed and your mind is just cluttered with everything all at once. Other things come into effect as well; tired from working all week can result in you needing a reset day.

What can I do other than cleaning to have a reset day?

I love doing nothing on my reset day, usually, this is when I’m lying in bed, eating snacks, and scrolling on my phone or reading a book all day. You can also go outside for a walk and enjoy nature, take a nice relaxing bath, go to the nail salon, get a massage, and maybe even do a nice small workout. Some people's reset days include not being on the phone at all and taking a break from social media. So, whatever you enjoy doing that is relaxing to you, you can do that for your reset day.

Do I have to reset on Sunday?

Girl, NO! A reset day is whatever day you choose! I usually like to use my Sundays for reset days, but if I feel like everything is falling apart in the middle of the week, trust and believe I will have a reset day on Wednesday maybe even Thursday as well! Having a reset doesn’t always have to be 1 day out the week as well it can be as often as you, please. Especially if you need it to calm your nerves and have a more enjoyable week. I like to break my reset days into 2, you know what I do on Sundays, which is nothing, aha and Monday is when I start prepping for the rest of the week.

So don’t beat yourself up because everything is falling apart, and you can’t get ahold of anything. Stop, take a break, and relax even if it’s for only 30 minutes. Clear your mind and come back and knock out that task to get through the day because tomorrow will be a new day to start over.
